In any new construction or renovation project there comes a point when what is being built or renovated must be inspected before occupancy is permitted. With all the changing rules and codes that a builder or contractor must acquaint themselves with, this process can be overwhelming. They are aware of the benefits of doing things correctly, doing things according to rules and laws that foster safety, security and stability. Cutting corners can produce unwanted fines and unwanted incidents if undetected. So inspection is a good thing. Actually, it’s a great thing!

You and I are like a new construction or renovation project. There are relational, spiritual, mental, emotional and physical laws and codes that we need to be inline with in order for us to have a safe, stable and secure occupancy in our own skin. What are you doing to ensure that you are building or adjusting correctly? Do you have any way to check for possible dangers that are outside of your understanding? We have to get past having confidence in feelings only. Feelings are fleeting and will change often. If there is one thing that all of us need to remember it’s that everyone one of us has blind spots. So whether you are doing a new thing or reworking something that you are already a part of, search the rules and the codes that will give you complete and full occupancy. I don’t have to tell you of the benefits, I think you already have an idea.
