So if I were to place a target in front of you and asked you to aim and then fire your dream or ambitions toward the bulls eye, how close would you get to hitting the center? Could you hit the center? Do you know the distance which you are standing from your goal? Do you know how much strength you will need to employ in order to draw and get the best velocity out of your launch? How about your stance, are you firmly standing and are you steady? How’s your vision? Do you know how not to be distracted from your target? Can you ignore all of the distractions that would tell you just hit anywhere on the target and call that good enough?

If you are going to make an attempt at hitting the target in the center you must do all of the above. I am not an archer but I have attempted my hand at the target with arrows and darts and the bulls eye is far more rewarding than hitting the outer rings. Why try and amass your score by working close to the middle and shoot more often when you can develop the necessary skills and disciplines to shoot less, score more and win often?

Here’s some tips for hitting the bulls eye:
Know Your Vision – without it you are going to be shooting all over the place. You will most likely try everything without anyway to determine what works best. This can create desperation.

Be Steady – relax and breathe easy, you will perform better when you can relax. Get settled into what you are doing and give yourself the time to focus into your objective.

Be Precise – the greatest waste of time is not being clear about your expected results. When you have a defined end in mind you have the greatest possibility of accomplishment. Being precise gives way to greater accuracy.

Be Equipped – do you know your resources? Are they up to the task? It is important to make an inventory of the people, tools and wherewithal to step up to the task and actually reach the bulls eye.

Shoot Often – you need to shoot often at targets that you have already mastered. This will keep you in the habit of shooting straight, often and build strength.

Now I challenge you to put it all together and when you are ready step up and go for it! I look forward to seeing you out there.
