Here is a follow up to my last blog about reading. I thought it would be a good time to introduce another gadget that has made my life better. With some many products out there you can’t buy them all to find out if they are worth it or not. Well, with this item I did just that. Expensive risk but worth every penny.
In March of this year I purchased a Kindle from Amazon. It is an amazing product that has literally lightened my load with books. You see, I am a book fanatic and I love to read. I have been to the University of Barnes and Noble, Books-A-Million and wherever else I can get my hands on a great book for information, education and empowerment. I have had many shoulder aches and pains because my bag was always loaded down with my laptop, stuff, and at least three or four books I am reading. It was amusing when someone would ask me if they could give me a hand carrying my things and would reach for my bag. Quickly they come to the conclusion that they grabbed the wrong item to carry.
With the Kindle I can download, at a reduced price, the books I buy directly into the unit and have them ready to read within 30 seconds. Whoa! I can subscribe to blogs, magazines and much more. Pretty much every title I am interested in has been converted to the Kindle format. I can carry over 300 books in the unit and whatever I m currently reading is marked and when I go to read that particular title again it starts where I’ve left off. You have the capability to look up words with the built in dictionary, highlight sections of text, email documents to the unit, link to URL’s and, even take notes. Light weight, practical, rechargeable and eco-friendly.
I would encourage you to check it out! I love my Kindle. Oh, I had mine before Oprah.
